This is a closeup of weed # 1.

Whether these are "weeds" or not depends on you. If these are plants you do not want growing where you do not want them growing they are "weeds".
#1 looks similar to the Mares Tail I have seen.

I thought Mare's tail, too, but that doesn't branch out until the flowers show up, while the plant in the picture looks like it's branching out from many leaf axils. Could we get close-ups of the other two plants as well?

âÂÂWeed: a plant growing in my garden I did not plant, that does not produce attractive flowers in number sufficient to reward the resources of soil, fertilization, water, and labor expended on it. Often invasive and aggressive.â Exceptions to âÂÂdid not plantâ made for self sowing attractive flowers such as columbine and snapdragon. Admittedly, some plants I might find attractive when driving through the countryside are not welcomed in my garden. Example: thistles. :)

closeup weed # 3. Those are a few fallen petals from another plant on top, which I did not notice wheren photographing. No flowers visible yet.

Weed #3 is giant ragweed, Ambrosia trifida.
