Hi everyone..I'm fairly new to gardening and I've noticed this weed?!? or whatever I'd like some help with..

It appeared when an area was cleaned up for bulb planting. I don't see it mixed in with the grasses or other plants...but it seems to be everywhere we cleared for this years planting.

I live along the coast of Massachusetts.

I'm not sure of the scientific terms to use..but it seems to stay very low to the ground, mat like, green leaves with a redish center to each....I did a search and "carpetweed" was the closest picture I could find, but the pics I saw did not have the "reddish" center that my leaves seem to have..I could spend hours pulling this up only to find it back in the morning...I'm not sure if you can tell anything form the pic but all ideas appreciated.. Thank you..
