Help me ID this invasive plant

This plant is growing all over my garden. I just cleared a large amount of english ivy and don't want this plant taking over in it's place. So the time has come to remove it, but it is so well established a herbicide is the only way, I think. Before I start spraying glyphosate all over the place, I wouldn't mind knowing what I'm actually killing! Maybe there's a more natural alternative. Anyway, here's the plant.

I have no clue but it looks really nice, you sure you want to be fully rid of it? You could just segregate it.

I like the way it looks would be a great addition to gardens. From the leaf structure possibly a milkweed.

Looks like one of hypericums, H.patula or H.calycinum -- something from the group having big flowers. What you see on top is actually fruit.

I have a (LOT) of this plant, it starts out with a green leaf, then turns orangelike, corn on the cob, only bigger.. it grows from a bulb..and it is taking my yard over, I've dug and dug, trying to get the bulbs up from this devil plant,,Does anyone know what it is? and how to get rid of it? I need help,my hands are blistered from diging up this alful invader!
