How to kill these weeds?

I dont know the name of this weed, looks like GooseGrass but not sure, most all only have the V on the top and full of dark seeds , the photo is not that clear,
Can someone tell he how to control this weed, seems the mower just cuts off the tops and leaves the rest , towering over the good grass after mowing,,,,
any help appreciated
