I live in central VA, zone 7. well drained clay soil. On the back of my backyard, there is about 0.3 acer of gentle slope land which belongs to the public. It is full of grass which does not have very pleasant looking. Since it belongs to public, so technically I can't plant anything there. However, i am thinking to sow some wildflower seeds there and let them grow for themsleves. What is the flower that :

1. is extrememly easy to grow. It has to grow on itself.

2. I probably can't dig holes on that land either. All I can do is to spread some seeds. What flower can grow from seeds itself.

3. What is the best time of the year to sow seeds?

4. I probably can't water that land either. Should I sow the seeds before an expected rain?

5. Where can I buy the seeds?
