Please help me identify this weed

Hello,

I recently purchased a new home that has been vacant for quite some time. The house was previously occupied by a master gardener, but since the home has been vacant the property has really become overgrown. Upon inspecting the flowerbeds in the yard, I noticed several large bunches of a particular plant growing all over the property in various places. Can someone please help me identify the attached image? The property has numerous beautiful plants and I am hesitant to cut or treat anything I am uncertain about for fear of ruining the landscaping. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated!

A "weed" is merely a plant that you do not want growing where you do not want it to grow. This particular plant may, or may not, be a "weed", but as is often the case the picture is not very clear, and is too close to see the plant well, and it is only one picture. When posting pictures of plants for ID think about how you go about identifying any plant and how many images you use to arrive at what that plant is.
