Nutsedge again :P

And it does make me go nuts..I did herbicides, preemergents, vinegar, salt, weeding by hand, plastic, Roundup....everything. Nothing worked. My flowerbeds are flodded by it and I admit I've lost the weed war this year. I am at the end of my wits, what else can be done?

While there are those that will disagree with this sedges are plants that evolved in soils wetter then normal. Sedges do not grow in dry soils, but then neither will much of anything else except the cacti family.

Excavation and replacement of soil. It helps to have a Bobcat.

Excavating may be of some help as long as there are not other nutsedge plants around to supply seeds that could be dropped by birds onto that replacement soil.
