Blossoms can die if it gets below 50 or above 90, but I doubt that's your problem in WA. If your blossom was pollinated, you would see a small fruit starting.

It may be that your first blossom simply didn't have anything else available to pollinate it. Since you now have two, they should pollinate each other. You can assure that with a small artist's brush by twisting it gently into both blossoms a couple of times.

Hi earthworm - not all blooms will produce a tomato. That is true for all of us. ;) But you will get many blooms so be patient.

Each blossom is self-fertile and contains all it needs to pollinate itself. Multiple blooms are not required, but many factors can affect whether that pollen "takes" or not and when it doesn't, the bloom dies and falls off - perfectly normal. ;)
