Fight the good fight ... sometimes it takes getting through a cold night or two and you can have it good for a month then. It does seem a little early but the whole summer has been in the deep freeze.

My garden is small, containers on both sides of my walk, and I've got a roll of black plastic in storage. I think I can split it and drape it over everything. It's just that the end of summer can be so depressing! It seems I just started getting ripe tomatoes(sigh).

Did you get the frost? We didn't get as cold as they said last night. It got down to 54, not the upper 40s. But tonite's another story. It's 50 now and supposed to get down to 43. I have just started getting ripe tomatoes a week or so ago. This cold is just way too early!

Both nights it only got down to the low 40's, but if I hadn't covered everything, you know we would have had a freak blizzard, LOL!
