Oh, and when you take your road trip, come on back, and give us a travelogue?

Well, I'll have to say that the maple grove that we live in was just fabulous this year, in fact the entire drive from Marathon into Wausau going past Rib Mountain was show stopping. The last few days though we had temps in the 20's, high winds and SNOW, so it's looking more like late November now, if you have not yet taken that road trip you had better head south.

Catrina & MadisonKathy, you two have been quite active on the WI GW forum, I've enjoyed your comments.

I got spooked by the weather and skipped the trip. Just a little hike over to a pumpkin farm in Colgate, which was a nice drive but a dissapointing farm for the kids. Especially since the pumpkins I grew (40-80lbs) were bigger than what they were selling.

So what do we need to do to get you to a plant swap with us Southeasterners this spring? We had one last spring in Racine, maybe we can move it further north? We had representation from LaCrosse and Madison last year.

Thanks for the kudos, Rich. You're into veggies and I don't have one spot of full sun. I also don't seem to have much luck with seeds (impatient and forgetful....not qualities that make for successful seedlings).

However....if we ever have a plant exchange up near Madison, I'm there.

    Hi Rich,
Thanks for the invite. I always love a good plant trade and Madison is not to far away from me. Actually I'm origionally from Milw and still like to visit there and also lived in SW WI for 7 years so like to visit there also. Too bad I'm involved with many clubs and activities and also have 2 kids with an equal number of engagements, so no promises, but always love to trade. We tried to get one together in our area last year, but I guess other people are equally as busy. If your ever passing through, we always love to have visitors. If you e-mail me in advance and bring me a plant I'll meet you at the door with a shovel. Same for the rest of ya.
