Sorry - no pics - do not have a digital camera.

Today I noticed a lot of bird activity around a plant at the edge of my woods. I went outside for a closer look at the plant and saw it was covered with clusters of very small, light purple berries. The plant is about 5 ft tall with woody stem, has lots of branches with large leaves. Each branch has many clusters of these small berries that the birds are eating.

Does anyone know what it might be? Thanks.
