Is there more than one stanza?

I do not know if it is another stanza.

Hi there! Was also searching for "Spring is Sprung" poems

My one comes from my father who used to recite

Spring is sprung, the grass is rise
I wonder where the birdies is!

Maybe there is no original poem, just fun with words going back through the generations?

Redoak - my dad used to recite that one too. I just did a quick google on it and found nothing except many other people wondering where it came from. It's from the 50's according to one "expert".

The grass is ris, though, or riz, not rise, in my memory and in the other discussions of this lovely poem.

I thought everyone had heard this version:

Spring has sprung, Fall has fell
Winter is here and it's colder than....
Usual

Spring has sprung;
The grass has ris.
I wonder where
The birdie is?

There he is
In the sky.
He dropped some
Whitewash in my eye!

I am no sissy;
I won't cry.
I'm just glad
The cows can't fly!

I also learned this from my Parents
The grass is riz

But thats absurd,

I remember this as a song from 40s or 50s. From memory, not complete, but I can sing it:

Oh, spring has sprung, the grass is riz,
wonder where the flowers is, wonder where that man of mine has went.
The boids are choiping in the trees, the wind is blowing as it please, and everyone's as happy as can be, except for me, I am not free.
