Venues in DC

Does anybody have a suggestion for a good speaking engagement venue in Washington, DC? There's a chance I may get to go there to promote my new book about earthworms. My publisher knows all the bookstores, but I'm thinking botanical gardens, nurseries, even garden clubs, that like to have speakers.

Recycling and/or composting groups would be good, too.

I'm searching around on the Internet but thought I would ask here, too.
