Venues in DC

Does anybody have a suggestion for a good speaking engagement venue in Washington, DC? There's a chance I may get to go there to promote my new book about earthworms. My publisher knows all the bookstores, but I'm thinking botanical gardens, nurseries, even garden clubs, that like to have speakers.

Recycling and/or composting groups would be good, too.

I'm searching around on the Internet but thought I would ask here, too.

Amy, Why don't you run that same question by Rose Gretch, Public Relations Director for The National Gardening Association - rose(at)garden.org and Cathy Barash, President of Garden Writers Association - bloominggourmet(at)mchsi.com. Change the (at) to the symbol. They have something coming up in Washington.
