I transplanted mine out into my garden, and the next morning I found it dead, killed by a cutworm.

And that was the end of this year's Giant Tree Tomato experiment.

I do intend to try again next year. For one thing, a 7 foot tomato plant can act as a privacy screen between me and my nosy perve neighbors. For another, I can always boil the tomatoes down into sauce and season them if I find the taste rather bland.

Poor lilacs! Nosy perv neighbors! Hahahaha!

Why not plop a blond wig atop of the tomato stake, affix a bra onto the plant and have yourself a riot?!

I've been thinking of getting those tree faces and affixing them onto my trees facing the creepy neighbors' back decks. See how *they* like being stared at.

I'm also seriously thinking of getting a dog.

i wanted to try the tomato tree to bad it's a bit dispointing it coulve been fun. as far s your neighbors lilac mine thought it would be okay to mow my back yard. hmmmmm. at first i thought they were trying to do a good deed and one day while i was back there and they didnt see me i heard them complaining about weeds and how they had spent tons of money on their yard blah blah blah. and i heard them talking about spraying weed killer on my yard while i was away at work. let's just say i had some choice words with them when i heard them. yeah we havent spoken since last spring
