ws second batch (either Purple Prince or Visions) these were planted at the two leaf stage in a temporary cloche. I started the second batch because the first batch was slow to germinate. You really need to keep the faith if you're winter sowing.

Our season is short; but, the days are long. We are just south of the Midnight Twilight Zone (the sun goes down -- in the north -- but it doesn't really get dark. In June I can play in the garden until 10 PM. Daily lows are usually 10-15 C (50-65 F) and highs are generally a few degrees either side of 24C (80F). I've only been serious about getting some product from my garden the last couple of years (new house with large garden space)

Reading the tomato forum, I am doing better than some in the north eastern US. I have tomatoes forming on the indoor starts and the ws Sub Arctics are flowering. I'm beginning to think that the ws tomatoes will start flowering when the plants are short and I may see a tomato, green at least. I really don't want to get too excited until I see red. :) We had a storm blow through that put several large trees down. I only had minor damage; however, it was a reminder that I haven't harvested anything yet.
