Seeking opinions

I am a first time tomato grower seeking opinions. I have 9 plants and 7 of them are doing great. Then there is the Brandywine plant that is tall and green and so far hasn't given me any fruit. I have been getting tomatoes from my other plants (including another Brandywine) for over a month now. The second problem child is a yellow stuffer. It is suffering from blossom end rot. I have tried all of the tricks and nothing seems to fix it. So far I have pulled off at least 15 fruits with blossom end rot and managed to pick two small ones that are OK. The yellow stuffer was a last minute addition to my garden and is planted away from the other plants. I don't think I prepared the soil correctly.

Here's what I want to do. About a week ago, I took a cutting from the yellow stuffer and put it into water. I want to pull the unproducing Brandywine and plant the yellow stuffer in it's place. The last date of frost is mid-November so it should have plenty of time. Do you think that will be OK. Thanks to anyone that responds.
