Dead Leaves

Just curious what is causing the dead leaves. if there is any way o correct it this year or what to do about it next year.

We had a very wet spring and the drip irrigation might not be set exactly right. The soil in the raised planters is brand new "Nature's Best" from Lane Forest Products. All the other raised beds seem to be doing fine: cucumbers, beans, corn, beets, etc.. The well water here is slightly acidic.

Ours look like this towards the end of every season when the heat starts to slowly kill them off. Surely it isn't that hot in Oregon yet?

No, it has got up in the 90s one or twice. Mostly cool in the mornings and reaching low 80s by 6pm. We had a wet spring and I set the irrigation to run too much. I am thinking some sort of root rot. Wha is weird is all the other raised beds are doing great.

Sorry, all I can do is empathise. I've had the same problem in the past with a few different varieties at different times. It doesn't seem like a normal die off, but other than that I have no idea. I always thought something was wrong, but didn't know what. The branches would die and get crispy fairly rapidly, and just fall off.

Branches steadily dying from the bottom up says considerable nutrient deficiency to me. The plants are starving.
