No bees this year

My garden is centered around gathering wild life to it. I have five types of salvia, a wall of lilac opposite to the garden, seven monarda plants, tickseed, chives, russian sage, sage, pineapple sage, butterfly bush, yarrow, butterfly weed, lupine, dianthus, percussion flower, columbine, echinacea, lots of liatris, cat mint, woodland phlox, creeping phlox, garden phlox, snow on the mountain, hasta, wild milk weed, iris, jonquils, blanketflower, clematis, shasta daisy, gooseneck, lavender, rosemary, basil, thyme.

Normally by now my garden is alive, humming with bees, my mason bee boxes would all be filled up, and our two humming birds would visit from time to time. I saw the hummingbird once this year but in the past four weeks I've seen three bee's total. I've asked other people in the area who I know also usually have a lot of bees, they also said they've seen significantly less than the past two years.

I don't use pesticides, and none of my flowers are the double hybrid varieties, I wanted to make sure the bees get all the nectar they can. I have seen a few butterflies and some other pollinators, the only bee's Ive seen were a carpenter bee and two miner bees.

Have any of you noticed significant drops in the number of bee's you normally see by now?
