Hello, I have been searching the net and asking friends to email this photo out to see if this can be identified. I was in my gardenlast week and found this on the ground under a bleeding heart plant. It was about 3" long, I say was becuase it soon disintegrated. I would love to know what it is from as in my area (Maritimes, Canada zone4b-5) we simply do not have insects this large. If it was out by my pond I would have thought dragonfly, but this was a considerable distance from any water. Someone suggested a lunar moth, we have had sightings in this area, and also a hummingbird moth?

Any idea's would be most welcome. I keep checking the yard to see anything "different" but so far nothing.

Thanks
