Pre-fermented seeds

I made a cross between two tomato varieties but unfortantly while the tomato was developing we got 4" of rain in one day. All the rain cuased severe verticle and concentric cracking both on the top and bottom of the fruit. When the fruit was ripe the skin was loose and the flesh of the tomato smelled like it had been fermented. When I squeezed out the seeds they also look like they had been through the norml fermentation of processing seeds and the gel capsules had fallen apart. I cleaned the seeds like I normaly would ad the seeds look fine. I wanted to know if it was possible that they were fermented inside the fruit and will now be viable seeds? Thanks for your help.
