I would suggest Opalka, its a good meaty tomato, great taste, very little seeds, hardly any juice.

Most any tomatoes - especially the large beefsteaks or oxheart varieties - will give you better salsa. Romas are good for making sauce that will be flavored with other ingredients but they aren't considered "fresh eating" tomatoes by most of us. ;) Opalka may be the one exception but I still prefer other thin skinned varieties for salsa.

Burpee actually sells a variety called Salsa, but I've never grown it. It might be worth a try!

Opalka...Costulto Genovese

I grew Burpee's Fresh Salsa last year and was really unimpressed. They were very meaty, not much juice, but the flavor was BLAH. Others may have other experiences, but in my garden, they were a dud.
