Wasp versus soider

A few months ago, I witnessed a jumping spider actually lauch and capture a Crane Fly on the side of my barn one afternoon.

Today, I was witness to the insect world giving "tit-for-tat" to the arachnids. While working on an outdoors project today, I saw a tiny wasp (about 1/2" in length) crawling up a piece of 2 X 4 that was leaning against the wall of my barn. Because I had my camera in the cab of my truck, I was able to grab it and get several shots of the drama over a period of around 5 minutes. After the wasp dragged the spider from the 2 X 4 onto the wall of the barn, it travelled around one corner of the building and continued right on up the wall, moving diagonally. It went all the way up to the second story gable area under the roofing and then disappeared out of sight somewhere up there.
