I have to strongly disagree with the 'just plain bad' ruling. I have been growing Coyote for several years now and they are my favorite cherry tomato! Every year I try to grow several "new to me" varieties of tomatoes and a few old standby's just in case, so I know I'll have some that I love. I have seeds for lots of varieties of cherry tomatoes but for the past three years the Coyote is all I have grown. I love the flavor! My plants get huge! I do grow them away from my regular tomatoes and my plant this year is still producing and it is the only tomato I have still in production. It is extremely vigorous and for me one plant is all I need. I have no idea how many tomatoes my one plant produced but it would definately be over 150! They are smaller then some cherry tomatoes but they are not as small as a current tomato. Most of mine never make it to the house as I stand outside and eat them off the plant! Just my endorsement for Coyote and remember taste is subjective. BTW, this has also become one of my mom's favorite tomatoes!

I don't know, I think tastes change too - I've always disliked yellow pear - but this year someone gave me what was suppose to be dr. Carolyn and they were yellow pear. My kids thought they were great - I turned my nose up... but finally tried one in a tomato salad... and well, it wasn't half bad! :)
