Stella Crafts Antique Lamps

I'm just curious if anyone knows about this lamp style or history? I received these 2 matching lamps from a relative and just wondering if I should hang onto them or put them aside for a garage sale. on the inside it says "Stella Crafts Italy '53" and I have not been able to find anything about it on the internet.
