We just bought this oven also. I don't have any experience to report, though, because we haven't installed it yet!

It got very good reviews, had all of the features we looked for, and we especially liked the looks of it. Plus, we found a floor model that we got a bit of a discount.

I had the Fisher & Paykel version of this oven...Different styling, same 'guts.' I had problems with the porcelain after self-clean, but it was an EXCELLENT performer. We are not in an urban area, so had problems getting service, so F&P bought it back...so you might consider your situation for service. But after all I went through, including buying a Monogram oven to replace the F&P that did NOT perform anywhere near as well, I kind of wish I'd just patched the porcelain and kept the Fisher and Paykel. In other words, I bet this would be a great oven. Maybe just be careful with using the self-clean, or be aware of the situation. Not everyone has had that problem with the porcelain, so maybe yours would not have it.

I've had the double wall ovens installed for almost a year now. Nothing but good things to say. Loaded with features and cook settings. Love the roll out racks. Excellent quality.

Thanks so much for the inputs - we have gone ahead and purchased the ovens - got what I think was a GREAT deal on the set - never used but were on display at a local dealer. I also called local authorized repair station and their input was "really nice set-up - but can take a while to get parts and repairs are expensive so buy the extended warranty" I never buy extra warranties but I did this time. Anxious to get it delivered and installed and give it a try. I will keep you posted.
Just to those that have an interest we also purchased a 36" Blue Star gas (propane) cooktop. I may have to start cooking !!

FWIW Cooks Illustrated uses the DCS ovens on their show and they typically use good stuff. While they don't rate large appliances I can't help but think they already did the research on the ovens they use.

"DCS by Fisher & Paykel" sponsors their TV shows, which is why all of their appliances are DCS. ;-) But hopefully, they wouldn't have a sponsor they couldn't reasonably support and want to advertise.

I have to tell you all that I was roasting chicken tonight, and I used the roasting pans and racks that came with my F&P ovens. (They didn't want them back) Of the ovens I've had, including the Wolf, the broiling pan/rack set that came from F&P (same as DCS will have) are head and shoulders above the rest. I know that's not a big deal, but it's a nice bonus. If I thought they would've been able to provide me service, I would've taken the chance and gotten DCS instead of my Wolf.

We have had the DCS double for 3 years now. 4 months after we installed it the "motherboard" electronics crashed. Warranty covered it. We have had no problems since, love the ovens.

Bulbs are tough to replace though after you have cooked for afew years !

I've had my double wall ovens for about 7 years now. Pre F-P. I'm kind of surprised the touch screen controls are holding up as well as they are.

Still like the ovens. Still work great. We had one of the fans that was really noisy replaced under warranty early on, but no issues since then.

Would one of you who has the 30" DCS wall ovens mind telling me the *inner* dimensions? I'm looking for ovens that will take a full size sheet pan (18x26") with some air circulation space around the pan...

I haven't been able to see any of these ovens in person. So far the only ones I've found that will work for me are the Viking and American Range. (Looking for electric, not gas, or I'd also include Blue Star!)
