GE Profile query

Received a replacement GE Profile range today; first one arrived with bent top and bottom drawer. Model No. PHB925 STSS.

When plugging in the replacement unit, the word "TEST" showed up in the display. I hit "Clear/Stop" and the time display showed up, set the time and left it alone while it acclimatizes to the room before checking our elements.

My first stove went directly to the time display when plugging in, so this threw a loop at me. Is the unit safe? Has it been calibrated properly? GE Canada tells me if you could clear to time, 'should not' be a problem; they 'suspect' that the tech didn't clear the display when testing the unit. 'Should not' . . . 'suspect' . . . . this doesn't sit well with me from the people that spec'd and built the unit. But we'll see if any issues.

Anyway, has anyone else experienced this or is anyone aware of the issue?

Thanks
