I am so excited because I got very lucky and found a wonderful growing light set for five dollars at a garage sale! But I don't have a clue what to do with it. I have always started my tomatoes by a south facing window at the end of March, moved them out into a mini greenhouse at the end of April(and into the garage at night) and then finally into the ground the third or fourth week of May. Now that I have the lights, should I do anything differently as far as timing? Can I start earlier and have larger seedlings? Can I grow tomatoes indoors over the winter months like with some other grow light sets I have seen advertised?
