I would use an espresso or walnut color on the island.

I think it depends on the size of your kitchen. It sounds like your open concept kitchen can accommodate the contrast on the island. To visualize better, I'd recommend painting sample boards with your paint choices and borrowing large samples of the granite. This is a very personal choice, and you should feel comfortable with it before you take the plunge! Good luck :)

You've picked such lovely, neutral, tasteful choices so far that I don't think you can go wrong either way with the island. If you want more contrast somewhere, then do a darker island (dark stained wood or painted black or charcoal gray). If you like more consistency (my preference, but just a preference) then stay with the white dove for the island too. It's going to be a beautiful kitchen either way!

Oh my - I'm in love with the white kitchen. I love white, it always looks fresh, and goes with anything. To add a bit of contrast, perhaps granite for the counters and a heavy wood "chopping block" top to the island. The joy of painted cupboards is that it can be so easily changed.

I really like the cabinetry, paint color and tile that you've selected. The granite color and island suggestions are nice too.

My preference would be a darker granite for the counters, with so much light color from the paint, tile and cabinetry, it might be a nice contrast and help the space to kind of "pop", as they say :)

The idea of a dark walnut or something similar, maybe java, for the island is nice too. Either way you go I think you win.

The only idea I don't love it the concrete floor. It's easy to maintain and durable, but I think an old world wood plank would be so much nicer. I know some don't like wood in the kitchen, but I think it would really match the airy, elegant feel that your kitchen will have. That's just my preference though.
