We have rescued an old oak rolltop desk that needs some help. We have all the drawers but some of them are missing the brass trim as pictured in photo #2.

A Google search didn't reveal much except to let us know it's a "c" type rolltop as opposed to an "s".

My son would like to get it restored at some point, but we were wondering if anyone could tell us the approx. age of the piece, what type of oak it is, and IF you think restoration would be worth it. I sure would like to get my hands on whoever painted this desk, LOL!
