Ink stain inside drawer

OK, I'm attempting to clean an antique walnut chest of drawers with mineral spirits (exterior) and soap and water (inside drawers). I discovered a blue ink stain inside one of the drawers and my cloth with soap and water keeps coming away with a lot of blue ink. It seems like it's really soaked into the wood (which is unfinished inside the drawers). Do I just keep scrubbing away until it's gone or is there an easier way to remove the ink? I'm going to be using this for a newborn's clothing, and while I will line the drawers, I don't want anything to seep through the liner.

Get some shellac and thin it with about 1/2 quantity of denatured aocohol ( one part alcohol, one part shellac) and coat all serfaces inside the drawer. Sometimes it's easier to cover up stuff than wash it off.
AND...I hope you are not pregnant and working with all these chemicals!!

OK, thanks! Actually I did the soap, water, and vinegar cleaning early this morning while the weather was cooler. My mom came over later and did the mineral spirits for me while I worked on another project. The chest and drawers are still outdoors airing out right now. I think we managed to keep dabbing away at the ink for it to stop getting any color on the cloth. I'm going to forego the shellacing for now and just cover it with a drawer liner.
