Building a new home and trying to narrow down the kitchen appliances.

I was set on Kitchenaid for the FD fridge, DW, Gas cooktop with grill or griddle, hood, oven\microwave combo, ice machine and wine cooler. My estimate places the price circa $15k.

After reading the forum it appears there may be better options. I like the look of all same branding, but am aware of the caution of fashion over function. side note: I really like look of GE monogram.

If you were me, how would you approach the purchase with a budget of $15k? If your recommendation is to piece different brands together, which brand would you recommend for each appliance mentioned above?
