We are moving from electric to propane for our next range. After seeing my friend's GE Cafe range, I thought it was perfect for what I wanted. She is the only one I know who has this range and she is perfectly happy with hers. The problem? Hers is an all-gas range (natural gas) while I want the duel-fuel and must have propane. When I started looking for reviews on the GE Cafe for propane, I found several reviews that complain about the loss of BTUs as well as a possible issue with the front right burner. However, all of these reviews are a couple of years old - I haven't found any that are more current. I do have a message in to the person I've been dealing with at the appliance store, and I'm also planning to contact GE directly.

In the meantime, what other ranges should I consider that might be comparable to the GE Cafe in features and price? While I can get the GE Cafe at a nicely discounted price thanks to a family member (less than $1800), my budget will allow me to go up to around $2100.
