I am no expert, but I think the first thing you should do is visit a site like Houzz and scope out the bathroom to get an idea of what you might want to put in your new bathroom to make it more spacious.

You can get fantastic help here but they will need a little more information. Are you on a cement slab or raised foundation (plumbing)? What are the dimensions of the room? Moving walls or leaving them alone? We are spending time on Houzz and other websites ourselves as we prepare for our remodel.

Thanks for the help. We are not moving any walls. The toliet is in a little alcove and the walk in shower is also in a alcove. Not counting alcoves the room is 4' wide. I'll have to go check my notes for the legnth.

I need help planning for the vanity. I like the idea of a vanity in that 4'x3' space after taking out the sunken tub. My husband thinks we need two sinks. Would it look bad to have one vanity and a pedastal sink? We do need storage and would like a place to put dirty laundry out of sight.

I saw beautiful bathrooms on Houzz but not anything with the narrow space that I have(or will have)

I would to keep all my small appliance hidden and my big collection of bottles and tubs out of sight.

The size is 10'6" by 4'7".
It is a tri level home with this bathroom being upstairs so not on a slab.
