cooktop great but all downdrafts are useless

Do you have experience or just making conversation? Do you suggest not installing them when the cooktop is in the island?

Hi Bosch, I actually bought a GE Profile induction with a Broan downdraft. I went with it because of $$, and the time factor. I was on a tight schedule with the counter top install, and didn't want to be delayed waiting for the cooktop. I decided that the hob configuration of the Profile was good for me, with an 11" in front. And since I'd never had burner timers before, I wouldn't know what I was missing. Love the GE! But I would probably love anything after my old crusty JennAir. And love induction. First time I've ever used it.

The Broan downdraft is fine also. I use it when I cook bacon. Haven't really used it too much, but I guess I can see the argument that it will never be as good at moving air as a hood. I just couldn't have a hood.

I bet you'll love your Bosch!
