Roll Tide!!!!!

Crimson Tide...37-21...way to go Bama!! Rooooolllllll Tiiiiiiiddddddddeeeeee!!!

OK, got that out of my system! LOL

This is the table that I did for my husband and son tonight before the ballgame. Yachter was my inspiration with her table earlier this week. I was supposed to pick up my grandson's football to use on the table, but didn't get a chance to do it. I had to make do with what I had, but DH and son were happy with it.

Before adding the food...

Ready to eat!

Crimson Tide Cupcakes...they were absolutely delicious!

This was my menu...my son laughed at it and informed me that it was very corny. Oh well, it was fun!

My husband told me he expects this from now on. I guess I need to buy some football stuff to have on hand for next year.

Thanks Punk! It didn't quite turn out like I had planned it, but it's just been so dratted cold here I haven't felt like getting out much. My daughter had several things she was going to let me use on the table, but I simply didn't get to pick them up.

Well, I have time before next season. My DH just told me it's only 9 months until football season starts again. I'm rolling my eyes here.

DG.. Very cute, especially thrown together so quickly.
"Go forth and be creative" is working out very well for you :).

Oh BOY, somebody(s) got to feel very special!
This is a wonderful, loving gift for your DH & DS!...sharing your tablescape skills & creative ideas!
Love the menu! And a WIN finishes off the evening!

Very cute Dream, and I'm sure the men appreciate the extra effort you put into it just for them. Cute menu, bet your son loved it no matter what he "said". LOL Luvs

    Cute table Dream...
I guess it's never too late to train men just right, and get them used to the 'finer' things in life..
However, when they start making demands on how and what they want the table to look like...That's another story !!! lol
Hey...maybe that's a beginning for 'them' to come up with a creative table setting that 'They' can put together...I'd love to see that.

How very thoughtful for them and fun for you to do. The menu is neat and sounds delish, everything except the boiled peanuts I think that is a regional thing, I just don't get it. My DH enjoyed the game while I worked on our puzzle that I want off my table so I can do some table settings. Your ball table is really cute and the A's remind me of our Razorbacks, I need to do a wild piggy party. Thanks for the pix.

Very nice. Love the stacked plates with the cupcakes and megaphone.

So now you've painted yourself into a corner. He expects it every year. Good. Just remember to buy dishes that will do double duty, so that when you use them in other settings you can say, "Oh, these things?? Remember, I got them to use with our football table decor?"

What a fun and creative table, DG! All I did was make some homemade chicken noodle soup and grilled cheese, tomato and green chile sandwiches. I'll bet my DH would love a nice spread like yours, though. Thanks for the ideas! It was a good game . . . close, but gosh, those injuries on both sides were bad luck!

I have a football cake pan I can lend you! We haven't had a Super Bowl Party since they moved them to Sunday night..too late!

    Cute table, love the menu...
I hope our cable co. gives us back our FOOD and HGTV before all the playoffs etc..I can't stand football! :)
Call me when the food is served though!

I've got a football stadium cake pan. My daughter-in-law gave it to me. I've yet to bake a cake in it. Guess I'll have to do something for the Super Bowl.

Dg, I told you you could pull off a neat table for your guys and you did!!

Tell them that it was a LUCKY table & you get all the credit for the WIN!!!

Your printed menu was a great idea & I don't think it was one bit "corny" very clever if you ask me!!!!

Dream.. nice table :>) ! I thought I was going to have a panic attack before the game was over ..lol ! I had to work last night, but there was no way I was going to miss the game,so I ended up with a t.v. in my office. My boss loved that :>) ! Let me tell you what I did a few years ago for the Iron Bowl. DBF and I love to tailgate party at the games in our R.V. I got a bunch of Tide washing powder boxes and arranged them on our picnic table so that they spelled out ROLL TIDE ! Then I put a big glass bowl of soapy water on the table with a stuffed tiger in it and a sign that said "watch the Crimson Tide clean up the Auburn tigers". Our friends all loved it as did the other Bama tail-gaters! ROLL TIDE !!!!
