Did anyone watch?

HGTV had some really good specials this year, did any of you watch them?

I really enjoyed the one where the three designers decorated homes--one was Kathi Lee Giffords.

And Sandra Lee had three specials where she decorated people's homes for special events. Of course the homes were fantastic and there was a "heart tugger" story with each family.

And then one where they showed decorating ideas submitted by viewers.

Then they always show the White House being decorated--quite a huge undertaking and lots and lots of people working on it.

I'm glad HGTV shares things like this with us, I just love watching them.

What was your favorite?

As of Jan 1st our Cable provider has dropped the FOOD Network which I love and HGTV. I am furious..they keep dropping channels and increasing rates.
I am sure they have been bombarded with complaints, so I hope they can reach an agreement..
So I am in withdrawal! :(

We ony have antenna. I sure miss HGTV, The Food Network, and Fine Living. :o(

If we could ever get high speed internet out here in the boonies, I would probably buy the package to get everything.

I actually got rid of our dish because I got tired of DH saying, " Hey Honey, your show is on." and then spending 1/2 of my show time flipping through the channels just to see what else is on. I never got to watch my shows! And he was the one who encouraged me to get the dish so I could watch my shows! As soon as the contract was up I had them cut it off.

What is it with men when they get a remote in their hand?

Now that I have all y'all, I would let him have the remote! LOL

    Luvs,

I have everything but I didn't watch any of the shows. I'm so busy at work that unless someone gives me a heads up I never see most fun shows. DH watches alot of TV but if I'm not working I like to paint.

Are most of these on during the day? Let me know if something is coming up and if I can fit it in, I'll check it out. I'm sure I would of loved this.

I enjoyed the HGTV special of Celebrity Homes, but actually only Kathy Lee's home. I'm a big fan of her decorator, Eddie Ross, and felt that his decorating style was most "real" . . . and most realistic. The one in SoCal was way too over-the-top and the other was mainly just a tree.
I wanted to see more Christms decorating specials, but this Season has just been too packed with, first DD's huge madrigal dinner production, and then time celebrating with my family and friends. Heck, I still haven't even posted any pics of my house decorated for the holidays yet!

Kathleen, I heard some of the ladies over at Recipezaar complaining about their cable providers dropping these. Scripps, which owns The Food Network and I think HGTV also, owns Recipezaar too. The ladies there were not happy about it. We did get a press release about it, but I didn't have time to read the whole thing. Alot of them were talking about e-mailing and phoning the cable providers to complain.

Lynn, it's never too late to post pics of your Christmas decor, we know the holidays get hectic.

I like Eddie Ross too. Do you follow the blog My Romantic Home? She actually got to meet and shop with him at one of the fleamarkets. How fun, huh? I love that he not only shops antique stores, but also the TS and Dollar stores--and he finds fantastic things and uses them beautifully.
