Mikasa Santa & Animals Centerpiece

This is the Mikasa Santa w/the artic animals that Purplemoon found for me ~~ I posted last month a pic of it w/my Winter Frost dishes. So before I pack it away I wanted to try it as a centerpc...this is it.

My faux snow was already packed away somewhere in the tons of totes in my garage ...so I used the little bit I had plus these smaller ornaments ... a gold candleholder & faux timer candle... I love it!

It's sitting on my raised cake plate but the cover will not fit over it ... anyone have any other suggestions for displaying this beautiful piece? Thank you so much, Purplemoon! Hugs, Jeanne S.

Yes, I need more 'snow!' (there's plenty outside & right now it -6 deg & supposed to get to MINUS 20 tonight! Yikes! I don't live in Alaska but I'm thinking I should! ;-) Here's a close-up of the Mikasa Santa.

I think it's darling as it is. You can always add baking soda for more snow, if you want.

    Looks great as is!!!

You don't need to add anything.

Santa and animals are adorable on your cake plate. So glad you played before putting them away. Karen is so sweet for sending this. Speaking of Karen, she hasn't been here to much lately. Hope Nana will help us on this one!

Just saying, -6 is waaay to cooold and -20 is unthinkable!

Been there, done that, and so hoping our storm tonight doesn't get to carried away. Can hear the wind howling tho. Just yesterday is was sunny and beautiful out. We do have solid sheets of ice all over still.

    Stay warm and safe,
    Punk

Jeanne your Mikasa Santa looks perfect on the cake plate.
It is so sweet and was such a thoughtful gift.
We got a lot of snow over night and the wind will be picking up today driving the temps to below zero..I've had enough winter!!
I've noticed that Karen hasn't been around too.I'm guessing she is pooped out after the Holidays...I know I am.

Oh, I love it. Your choice in the color of the balls goes wonderfully with your centerpiece.

    Too cute for words!

Jeanne I agree that it looks beautiful as is...but
like you, once you get a thought in mind...such as covering it with
some sort of glass dome....it kind of haunts you! Lol
Karen is our 'Holiday Treasure ' here....she picked out a real
Beauty to send you, and you did it justice as a lovely CP.

Jeanne, what a lovely display you created with this piece!! I love how it looks. Big improvement over mine just sitting in the curio cabinet.

Sorry I've been missing so much. The past week I got slammed with a Fibro flare. I get on and read stuff but posting and emailing seems to be my downfall for some reason.

Had a nice Xmas with family, and got to do something special with friends on the 29th, tho sure paid in pain for it since. I wanted new legs for Christmas....but didn't get those. Trying to figure out how I'm going to get all my Christmas stuff packed up....ugh!

Here it is 4 am and I'm still up, no wonder I can't function.
    :o)

Oh no, Purplemoon...sorry the F word has flared up so bad for you ~~ not good. I love your Mikassa's all in your china cabinet...such a grand collection! I just had to find a way to 'showcase' this beautiful piece ....thank you so much! Take good care ...hope you can be back soon & feel as good as your body will let you anymore. Hugs, Jeanne S.

I just saw JUDITH has posted.........WOW. Judith was a regular here for years and is the reason I found this place and discovered the infamous "stacked plates" decorating. She is a fabulous holiday decorator and table-setter :o), some of her photos are in our Inspiration albums so I know you've 'seen' her. I hope she's BACK!

Meanwhile, thanks Jeanne. Hopefully I'll be posting regularly soon.
    hugs, Karen

Yes, Judith is posting ... welcome back, Judith!

Here's a pic of where the sweet Mikassa Santa & arctic animals sat over the Christmas holidays ... we do buffet style so it was front & center! ;-)

..and a friend's daughter found this 'woodsy' polar bear on clearance @K-Mart after Christmas ... so I added him to my dining room shelves above the sliding glass doors in this evening pic... just right, I think! Happy New Year, everyone...hope this first week of the new year is going good & that you are staying warm ...frigid weather here in Iowa. Jeanne S.
