Hood Help

OK, so we've decided on the Blue Star 30" RNB for our new build. Once I saw those burners in person it was no brainer. Many thanks for all the great posts and responses on this forum. They have been invaluable.

Now for the challenging bit...

The range will be located on an inside wall, which means we need to vent directly up. We don't like the idea of having a 30" wide stainless duct going up the entire length of the wall, which means opting for a chimney style wall hood (AKA euro style, as I've seen them called). Also, we only have space for a 30" wide hood (even though I would prefer a 36").

My first choice would be Vent-a-Hood. Unfortunately VAH's 30" chimney hood only delivers 300 CFM.

Zephyr and Kobe looks like viable options. Zephyr deliver 715, but uses a mesh filter. Kobe delivers 800 and seems to have a filter-less (or at least baffle filter) system. GE Monogram also has a 30" hood delivering 640 CFM (though it's probably made my somebody else).

I'd love to hear from owners of Zephyr, Kobe, GE and other brands about their experience. Any and all suggestions are welcome.

Many thanks,

Trip
