At $1500 , why don't you just get a Miele, which has fabulous build quality, exceptional customer service, a well established national presence in the USA, and just forget about it? You'll also be getting a new in the box unit , rather than something that's been around the block.

Antss, I think nest says that the original price was "$1500 *or so*" and that they have the opportunity to purchase at $750 (or so) and if at $750, a Kuppersbusch is a good deal ...

You're right, mindstorm. Sorry for the confusion! It does seem like a good deal but I wish I knew the pros and cons of the particular brand.

Nest - 750 would be a good deal. We had K'busch for a while and technically still do but they didn't have a DW out of the gate and at the price point it's moot given that we have Miele too.

The cons are that they are not widely distributed, have a sparse service network, and shuffle through management like crazy. If you're near Tampa, you will be fine, otherwise it's a rool of the dice. The products are quality kit.
