Spring decor question and Easter one for JIM

Jim, you did a WONDERFUL Easter vignette before...can we talk you into coming out and playing this year too?

You'd make a bunch of crazy ladies happy if you did. ;o)

My Spring decorating question for y'all....

my Easter decor is also my Spring, so when Easter is over I pack it ALL up till next year. I was wondering

if you leave some out for a while and just put away the real Easter-y things? Since my house isn't geared

to pastels, I never have. I usually wait till Memorial Day and haul out the summer/red-white-blue thru July.

But I love green colors, and my bunnies. So I was thinking about a Spring decor look this time, partly to keep my some of my Easter decos out longer. What do you think?

I'm realizing just how poor planning I've done when I pack up my Christmas stuff. I NEVER think to leave out ornaments that would work for other holidays. Arrrgghhh. Luckily this time, I knew where a small box of green ornament balls were, but all the rest is packed too good to get to till next year. I've got to THINK in the future and separate some stuff out next Christmas. I really need a Keeper!!

hugs, Karen

Karen, I'm with you, I have no sense of planning ahead even when I see things at yard sales I can't see the purpose of them. And, then I come on here & someone will have found a great use for something I passed up at a sale!

I was thinking about how to leave some out for spring from Easter too, since it will only be up for about 3 weeks.

Patty, I had totally forgotten about the Easter Massacre that Jim had thanks to Miss Kitty and Panda. LOL. Now he has two more kitties, he might not want to attempt another vignette for Easter.

Jim, get out those domed cake plates and cloches of yours!
Protect those little Easter critters this time.

    LOL - We'll see....

I just got my Christmas tree and 95% of other decorations down over the weekend--so I'm enjoying having nothing up right now.

Jim - you keep your Christmas decs up until March? That's amazing.

Jim, I'm glad you got to enjoy your fabulous Christmas decor all this time. I know you do a massive job of decorating, and taking it all down again is not fun,
    nor easy!
Ok, I won't bug you (too much) to do an Easter vignette.
If you want to deprive those poor, poor little kitties of fun, then so be it. LOL.
Patty finding your old post was great to see, and hear about ;o> again! Tell me tho...
do you think Cats entertain us, or do WE entertain them?
LOL, I'm never sure around my house.

I'm so bad... I don't really have much that is JUST Easter.. a few eggs and that is it. The rest of my decos are just color appropriate things that I gather up from around the house..the bunnies are pretty realistic looking (I'm not big on the cutesy ones), so they are out off and on year around.

I HAVE to get all my Christmas things put away right after Twelfth Night or I end up hating it. I was loath to take down my Valentine's decs, but did. No St.Paddy's day decs, as DD's birthday is the next day after. As for Easter decs, love them but just leave the pastel flowers out afterwards. As with Christmas, it drives me nuts to have bunnnies and eggs out (in my house, NOT seeing them in anyone else's home) after Easter Sunday. But, like I said, I do love to have my pastel flowers around for weeks after.
