Scones....

Hi there,

We are in the last throws of our Mother/Daughter tea party planning. I think it is all going well!

I do need to beg y'all though for your best, EASIEST scone recipe. I will have to bake these the day before and then reheat by the batch at the party. I would like to make the ones that have raisins or dried cranberries in them. I make them at home regularly...I'm just hoping there is a little quicker recipe out there since I will be needing about 125 of them. At home I just fill a jelly roll pan with dough and cut them before baking....they come out square instead of round, but they are yummy just the same!!

I have a good recipe I made for the first time a few months ago.
Don't know that it is any easier or better than yours though..

Are you dead set on scones?

No, but give me other ideas...mini muffins maybe???? Or how about small pig in the blankets???? I am having mini cupcakes with roses on top on the sweets table. C'mon girl with any ideas that you have....and know that I appreciate you a BUNCH!!

How did your Mother/Daughter tea party go? Did you take pictures for all of us to enjoy? I can't emagine making all those scones but would love to see pics. Punk

Sorry I am so late, but I have been away from the computer all week!
The party was wonderful and there should be some pictures to show you eventually. I did not make scones, I made small sausage kolaces since I needed something more solid with my chips and dips and fruit...etc.. The ladies were SO excited and really pleased that we went to the effort of having a party just for them. Our congregation is rather elderly, so a tea party was a special event! I was amazed at how excited they were beforehand..they all dressed up and we had a ball!
I appreciate all the help that I got at this board...I was thinking of you all when we were doing up the tables!
