Spring/Early Summer Table

I got a box of porcelain figurines from Freecycle last night. These Hummingbirds were in the box.

I made a center piece for the table with it.

Then I built my table around it. My colors were: A yellow table cloth, green textured place mats, brick red bird patterned napkings, mixed china Creme Solitaire and red toile British Castles.

What a great find on those hummingbirds, they look great as part of your centerpiece. I really like your little metal birds too. What a pretty teapot--and of course, I love your red toile. Is your silverware gold? Sure looks gold in your pic. TFS. Luvs

Lovely collection of hummingbirds. I like what you did by
using them in your centerpiece. Very clever. Those metal birds are very unique.
I also like the idea of how you mixed your chinaware. Looks very striking.

I need to go on record and say that I am operating a new camera that has taught me various cuss words that I did not know I knew. ; 0 ) I did take some better pics of the table but my camera is not downloading all of my pics. The pics are stuck in the camera and will not all come out. This has been occuring for weeks now. It has new batteries, new card, and I do not pull the cord out too quickly. So I ended up posting some lousy pics. susie

Susie, you find some good stuff on freecycle! Those hummingbirds are so pretty.
Sorry your camera and you are still fighting, I was hoping you'd become friends by now. Don't give up, it'll happen.

    hugs, Karen

Wonder how KodaK Monster knows how to choose the lousy pics to download and keep the best pics locked up????

Your hummingbirds are very nice and add a springtime feel to your table. I also love the little silver birds you have on the table. That flowered teapot is lovely too. Hope you get your camera woes sorted out.

As I mentioned in your other post, I love your beautiful new statues! I've been on the hunt myself for one specific one that has two Black-Capped Chickdees on a snowy pine branch. I'd never thought of it before, but you've inspired me to use my own few in tablescapes. Thanks!
Have I mentioned lately just how much I love this forum?!?

Lynne, Is that statue of the Chickadees on a snowy pine branch to be part of a tablescape with your pretty dishes with the pinecones? That was the first thing that came to my mind when I read your post--think it would be perfect, hope you find it soon. I totally agree with you, I love this forum. Just puts me in a good mood each day when I see all the eye candy and read everyone's comments. ;o) Luvs

DH & I bought several bird statues to give as Christmas gifts when we first got married 25 years ago, Luvs. One of them was the chickadee statue and I've been regretting giving it away ever since. This past Christmas Season I decided to start looking for it again. I found several other ones on Ebay, on flowers and such, butnot that specific one. Although I hadn't thought of it, your idea of using it in a centerpiece with my pinecone dishes is WONDERFUL! Now, I really need to start searching for it once more. I'm glad you mentioned that. Thanks!
