Building a Home

where does one start ?

thank you for this website! Hubby and I will be building our home in rural VA in the next 4 years. What do you call a slightly 'curved' house? Can you recommend any websites to help pick out a design? Where do you start - on the interior or the exterior?

Any recommendations will be much appreciated!

Thank you!

Welcome! I found this website just by googling "house plans, curved designs". It is a long process of looking at interiors and exteriors until you finally find something that seems to "have it all". I think Dh and I looked at house plans for about 2 years before we found "the one".
Good Luck!

I suggest you think about how you like things laid out first. Stories? Morning sun? Interaction with yard. Full size dining? Island. Get a legal pad and just go at it.
