Piece of furniture for TV

I have a small family room. I need a piece of furniture (about 32" tall) to put a flat screen TV on. I would like something unique -- not your standard TV stand. Something to add character to the space. P.S. I love color!

Hi! I love color too! And I do not like anything standard! I use console/sofa tables as my tv stands. I have attached a pic that hopefully will inspire---notice the drawers to store items. (courtesy of houzz).

I love the hot pink console, but prefer a chest type piece to conceal wires and cords. Take a look at this low dresser in "grello" from CB2.

great photos, you can basically paint over any 'conventional' tv stands to your favorite color.

Just be sure that the tv is secure on whatever you choose. There have been many deaths of children who pull a TV off such an unconventional stand and get crushed by it. Probably the best bet is to fasten the tv to the wall even though it is on a stand.

Why not try consignment shops or antique shops to get something unique. Paint it a funky color if you want to. A dresser or desk could become a tv table! Why not?
