ohhhh, am I ever jealous. Those are gorgeous. I can not grow flowers, not only will our 112 plus heat murder them, I can do it even faster all by myself. Flowers hate me!! Tho I haven't killed a silk one yet, to my credit.

Very pretty, Kareen. You haven't posted in a long time!
Yes, the garden is finally nice. My blue, pink and white hydrangeas are blooming, I just love them and I see them in your bouquet...
I too love fresh flowers on the table..

    Karen ,
I lived in Phonix for a month as a kid and I can see how it might be difficult to grow things there, guess its native or an almost impossible task keeping non natives alive !
Kathleen , thanks, I guess I lurk more than post and have been busy with gardening , and grandkids.Oh yes , and on a mission to find that couch I posted about!
We were in Long Island a few weeks ago though....Old Westbury , Planting Fields and Humes Japanese Garden Stroll . Stayed at the Fox Hollow Inn, shopped at Hicks Nursery and had a great time . Kareen

Hi Kareen, Your floral bouquet is lovely as are those pretty lady figurines. Everything outside looks so green and lovely too---but what I really want to see more pics of is all the pretty "dishes" in your china cabinet! How about if I even say "pretty please"? ;o) Luvs

Kareen, I know where all those places are. We pass Hick's on the way to my son's house in Garden City.
I have been to many affairs at the Fox Hollow.
I thought you found the couch and were getting it??

    Hi Luvs,
Thanks, I will photograph the dishes after today. I am on a committee putting together the annual garden tour for Cooperative Extension and today is tour day ...needless to say I am going in more than one direction and can't take the time needed to do the dish photos justice.
Kathleen , I did find the couch and have it here....now I need decorate around it!!!!!!!!! Kareen

Kareen, your floral bouquet is lovely, as is your dining room. We used to have pink walls too, looks like they go better in the style of your house than they did in ours. I did like the feeling of "coziness" that pink walls give though especially in the winter. I would love to relax in the chair on your (?) patio. Is that a pool in your backyard?

Rest easy Jaybird , I only have the red and white dishes on the table ...not the whole set. They are far enough away from the walls to not clash with the pink .
DD, I insisted on this pink when we moved back in after the remodel. I thought the work crew was going to have a heart attack when they saw it but I have enjoyed it. I like to paint rooms every couple years (much to my husbands chagrin) so it may change when we repaint. I can really be fickle with paint color! Kareen

Beautiful flowers! Lucky you! I wish I had that many flowers in my garden this year, maybe next year. I enjoyed seeing the "ladies" incorporated with your table design, they really add a nice touch.

    Thanks Judith,
I love so many flowers yet it does keep me outside rather than posting or tablesetting. I thought of you when I put the ladies on the table. Hope your health is improving.
DD Yes that is a pool and I do relax too much in that chair. What you are not seeing due to lighting is a koi pond, always a toss up ....sit by the pond....housework ....... Kareen

Kareen love your table setting and the flowers are just lovely. I do lots of gardening myself. I think besides my passion for dishes...next is flowers for the garden. Unfortunately..the deer love them too!
Your home looks so inviting..like a lovely Inn.

Kareen, I can see where it would be hard to decide whether to sit by the pond or do housework. Yep, definitely a very hard decision. NOT....LOL.
I think we should see photos of your pond, and your koi.
The way Kathleen torments me, you might as well too. I'm a glutton for punishment here. LOL.

    hugs, Karen
