Autumn tablesetting

I thought I would share my autumn tablesetting with everyone. It's still a work in progress and I have some tweaking to do, but I'm getting there.

I want to change out the color of my candles, but haven't been able to find a color here in town that's just right with this setting, all the colors seem to be off a shade. So for now they're white. Also, I'd like to get a different color salad bowl...probably another color that's in the plates. I'm not really sure yet if I want to go with the blue or yellow.

In this first photo, I was playing around with the setting and had put my placemats on the table as well as the runner. I didn't like the look of that, so the placemats were ditched and I'm just using the runner.

Notice the knfe rests...inspiration by Judith! lol

Dream, that looks so pretty! I love the color combination, and those glasses are gorgeous. Don't you just love the little pumpkins--so sweet, and I love how you decorated yours.Did you make the flower arrangement yourself? It is really nice.Love the plates and your candleholders too. Great job!

Thank you for the kind words Luvs! I wish I could say that I made the arrangement myself, but I bought it at Old Time Pottery. It was originally in a basket, but I switched it out to a Fenton vase that my sister gave me last year for Christmas. You can't see it very well, but it's a very pretty color. The bottom is green and it shades into a blue color at the top.

Oh, and the glasses are the reason I bought everything else. I just fell in love with those glasses when I saw them. I've also bought them in a martini glass that I thought I would use for desserts.

I really like the use of the blue in it. It's different yet still really works.

    Those glasses ARE just wonderful.

Thanks Jenn! Do you have an Old Tyme Pottery near you??? I absolutely love going shopping there! All of the dishes, napkins, glassware and flatware came from there too. Oh and I even bought the little pumpkins there.

That is just gorgeous, and I love the blue. Unexpected yet so very pretty. Your dishes and glasses are really appealing. WOW.

No, I don't believe we do have an Old Tyme Pottery. But will check it out in our Yellow Pages!

And I don't have an Old Tyme Pottery either....drat!

Wasn't Old Tyme Pottery the place Sandi found so many good buys last year? I don't have one either, sure wish I did.

    You found some perfect items.

I added 8 more photos to my photobucket album with centerpiece ideas, one happened to have blue flowers I stumbled across. Thought it was pretty!

What a beautiful centerpiece! I really like that.

When my husband saw me working on the tablesetting, he actually asked me why I was using the blue since it's not an "autumn" color. All I could think of to say was "ummm...the sky is blue". LOL!

It was all just dumb luck that I found the dishes, glasses and centerpiece that all matched in one place. A friend on another website steered me to the PB runner that I bought. It actually has all the colors in the paisley that are found in the dishes...red, yellow, green, orange, white, blue.

It seems like I do remember Sandy talking about Old Tyme Pottery. If you ever get to a town that has one, I highly suggest you stop in and make sure you have plenty of time. It's a HUGE store packed full of dishes, glassware, floral items, bedding and dining items...just tons of things.

There are pretty blue sages and salvias blooming in fall, so if you can incorporate that beautiful color into your arrangements. I rarely saw that at garden club and last fall I put Russian sage into my arrangement and amazingly, few there had seen it and wanted to know what it was. It gives that misty blue look to an arrangement that is so pretty.

Very pretty, Dream. I like the color combos. I love your glasses and cute little pumpkins too!
Yes, Sandi mentioned Old Tyme Pottery a few times. Must be in the south. I log on to look at their flyer though!

Dreamgoddess, your plates have all the fall colors but still have the blue to go with the glasses, very pretty table. I am going to have a time keeping up with all the fall posts, now since I don't have as much time to be online! Yikes!

Dreamgoddess, beautiful tablescape, I love the colors, very festive! Blue and yellow just "pop" against each other so well!

Really pretty and festive! I love the blue mixed in. It's such a nice example of what can be done when we think outside the box of the usual colors of autumn decorating (Not that those colors are boring in the least).

I'm not much for table dressing..at my house the table is to small, with to many people..but I love what you did. Those glasses are amazing, the runner is WAY COOL, and the blue just takes it in a whole nother direction..and if anyone hasn't noticed, the Sky is the bluest it ever is in the Autumn...The way the sun is lower in the sky seems to intensify the blueness...atleast I think so..perfect choice Dreamgoddess..
