Remove Custom Panel from Miele DW

The handle (originally supplied by me) on my new Miele Inspira G2181SCVI with custom door panel broke off.

I have a replacement but need to be able to get the door panel off of the dishwasher in order to do so,

Anyone out there know:

1.) How to safely get the panel off the dishwasher?

2.) How to reinstall it once I've installed a new handle?

I checked the manual and installation instructions which are vague at best about installation and say nothing about taking the door off.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Putting the custom door (not SS door) is very easy. We did it ourselves. You should go online and read the installation instruction manual for custom doors on how to install the door. The door installation is not the same as the DW installation. You should be able to find it on line.

On the fully integrated models with hiddle control, you basically lift "up" the door vertically and the door comes up from the metal clip that holds it in place. If you actually see the pictures once, it will make a lot more sense. Good luck.

You'll need a TORX 20 (T20) size screwdriver.

Depending on your generation / model , you'll need to loosen 2-4 screws on the side of the door - they should be under grey plastic buttons if installed properly.

THEN you can lift up on the panel.
