bathroom is done! pics

I posted pics about a month ago showing the beginning of our bathroom addition. The upstairs of our house had two bedrooms and a family room, but no bathroom, which was very inconvenient. After five years of our sons tromping down the stairs in the middle of the night to use the bathroom, we decide to do a small bump out over the flat roof of our kithcen to put in a 5x8 bathroom. We went with a budget friendly bath, saving the money for the dining, kitchen and laundry remodel we are also doing. Thanks for all of the great advice. Here are the pics!

Great use of your space and it looks terrific!

Looks great! Love the dramatic dark blue walls. Your boys will be happy campers to have their own bathroom upstairs :)
I'd love to see some crown molding (if the rest of your home has it) but that can be done anytime.

Oh thank you so much for posting these pics! We are just getting started and in an hour I have an appointment at the "tile place" to pick out tiles. We want a granite top, but I was wondering what a tile backsplash would look like since we won't be tiling the walls - and there it is exactly what I want in your pictures! Thanks again! (Nice job by the way!)

Thanks beachteach, good luck at the tile shop! And Monicakm I'm thinking the same thing about molding.
Thanks for the kind words everyone!

OK, HMDennis, you're not getting off easy. You can't post great remodel pix w/o spilling the details!!!! Are those tiles 6 x 8? Glossy or semi-gloss? Who makes them, and what's the floor tile?

We eagerly await, so that others can shamelessly copy.

Beautiful! This may come as a big surprise, but Blue (the person) likes the blue (the color) wall best, and Blue (the person) wants to know the name of the blue (the color).

Blue (the person, who is confused by all this third party stuff)

Alright folks here are the details:

Shower tile is 6x8 "001 White" Daltile from HD.(semi gloss)
Mosaic glass is also from HD
    Countertop is Wilsonart "Pearl Soapstone"
    Dolan light fixture
    Sarasota vanity from Lowes
Blue color is Behr 'Rich Navy", and it is much darker than it appears in the pics (love it)
White is Glidden "Billowy White" (I think)
Tub is Kohler 20 inch deep, great for soaking
Flooring is St. Germaine in "Gris" special order from Lowe's (the floor and the tub are my favorite things!)

Very charming!! Nice details, love the whole scheme, and details too!

I was just at HD last night and saw blue mosaic glass, but it had black glass incorporated with the pattern. Did yours originally have black, and you cut those out of the pattern? I love the blue, but don't like the black. I'm just wondering if another HD might have this pattern.

I didn't cut any black out of the mosaic glass. I don't blame you though, I wouldn't want the black in with the blue necessarily either. I can't remember what it is called but it was off the shelf at $4.95 per one foot strip.

That "small bump out" was totally worth it! I love what you did; your vanity and faucet look so nice and the recessed storage in the wall is pure genius. Your family is going to get a lot of use out of the new bathroom.
