pink collection

I feel funny posting this as it is not exactly "Holidays" (some of the other forums are really picky) , but after seeing Karen's wonderful collection and hearing the suggestions to show our things, I decided to go ahead. Of all my collections, this is my favorite, because I love pink, I know it's not everybody's cup of tea. This is 32 years of pink, some like the large Haviland tureen are family pieces, some gifts, and other TS finds. The depression plates and bowls are American Sweetheart and the stems are some Fostoria pattern (my mom's). The milk glass is Westmoreland Doric, I like to use with a lot of things.

    Oh Exfroufrou..
What a FABULOUS Collection.! As far as pink...I just love the vintage look of it. Your beautiful Prints and Plates hanging on the wall...go perfectly with it all.

You don't have to feel funny here to post any 'pretties'.
We just love it...Anytime! There's no 'Holiday Police' here...lol

Anyway back to your collection. Your milk glass collection reminds me of my mom and her love for that too.
That Haviland tureen is just beautiful. I also like how you displayed the vintage pearls in there. Those pink stems are very pretty, as well as the other plates I see. I like the pink depression glass and the pink leaf design and I could go on and on..they are all so lovely. I would love for you to do a tablesetting to show them off. Even if it's a setting for just two.

I would Love to see that.. I know others here, would agree.

I'm glad you took the 'First Step' and showed everything to us. I really enjoyed it.

First of all I LOVE the cabinet, it's beautiful. I particularly love the rose plates on the wall, the pink depression glass, and many of the other things. Everything is beautiful put all together, they make a wonderful statement. - Gail

That is a STUNNING collection, and beautifully displayed!!
I can already hear the sighs of all the "Pinkies" here who will be on sensory overload with such gorgeous things.
I give them a hard time cause they 'MADE' me like pink, in spite of all my comments that I didn't. LOL (they really do mess with your mind on here.)

Seriously tho, you should be extremely proud of that collection and I'm so glad you shared it with us. This is such a super Forum in that we can share many OT things. Heck, we can even make a Holiday out of anything and everything!
Isn't today "Pink Day" or something?

    hugs, Karen

Oh my! This is a gorgeous collection of items. I like the milk glass marching across the top, it is so balanced and pleasing to look at.

It is a real pleasure to see these. I would be hard pressed to pick a favorite, but I really love the ruffled dishes, and the beautiful ones between the woman and man figures.

The rope of pink pearls is such a nice accent.

Frou, it took me a few minutes to focus on your beautiful cabinet and all the pretty pink items--I kept sighing at how pretty your picture and plate display above the cabinet looked! I love all your pink collection especially all the "ruffly" ones. Your milkglass with the cutwork are just gorgeous too. Did the tiered ones come like that or are they some you have created? Either way, they are just gorgeous. All of us love seeing everyone's pretty treasures--it's posts about things like this and all our shopping finds that keep our forum interesting even between the holidays! So glad you shared with us.

Thanks for all the input ya'll. Jane everything looks vintage because before moving into this house, we restored a victorian home and I just couldn't bear to part with all of it. I promise to do some table settings soon, the pink really lends itself to spring and Easter and I've done some great bridal luncheons. Gail, when I bought the cabinet it had wood panels on the ends, which I exchanged for glass, I also mirrored the back and put in all glass shelves. It is nearly 8 foot long, taking up the entire wall of my morning room. There is a TV behind the lace panel. Hi2all, the pearls were left over from Christmas one year and I just left them, I'm bad about that. Luvs, I know there is a lot to look at, I know I have a tendency to over-do everything (hence the name). The white pieces are just stacked, I have really cut back on my shopping, to try and keep it under control.

My goodness, you do have a lot of lovely pink things! What fun to have so many to set a pretty table with. Your art work takes me back to our summerhouse when I was a kid. We had similar prints on the walls of our bedrooms. They've brought back such happy memories seeing yours.
Thanks for sharing all your pretties with us, Syble!
