I haven't had much time to work on painting lately. Between working full time, housework and my children, I stay pretty stretched out all the time. My son is a senior in high school this year, and it's always something going on with him.

Yes, Dream, I got it in the store. And have you checked TJ Max and Marshalls???
I got one there, a bit nicer, thinner glass. But you are right, they aren't that tall, a regular 2 layer cake couldn't fit under the dome...so a house wouldn't work!

Dream, when I was at Marshalls the other day, I saw a high dome on a round wood disk, (the dome looked like a typical bell jar, I would guess the dome was at least 10 inches high)I did look at the price, and I remember thinking it was pricy (around 20 dollars). But otherwise all I saw were the regular cake plates with the shorter (5-6 inch height)

Thanks for letting me know Judith! I can't remember if there's a Marshalls in Mobile, but I'm going down there in a couple of weeks and I'll check. If I could find something like this, it would work too.
